Sarapaka - November 7th 2011: a new self employment program has been launched in the depressed area of Sarapaka in the north boundaries of the district of Khammam. 44 women selected from this area will receive every year a six month training classes divided in two different batches and will have the chance to start a cooperative work in their villages for tailoring and stitching. Many small income generation activities will be started with the implementation of the microcredit program. This project is part of the self employment program running in Andhra Pradesh since 2007 having an active of 6 cooperatives and making possible the rotation of a large number of beneficiaries and activities in the district.
